Circle Time

I knew right from the off that I wanted to do circle time, I wanted to have a strong signal that school time has started. I considered many formats for this but wanted to stick mainly to montessori type activities. So this is what we do:

1. Light a scented candle - I like to use essential oil candles to help with the atmosphere
2. Sit in our reading corner( our bay window) and make Dua
3. Silence game - I use the sandtimers for this, basically nuh and I do it whilst 'the zoo' scrambles about.
4. Story or Character/Adhab study
5. Grace & Courtesy work - We work from the Practical Life album in order pretty much

This usually takes between 10 -15 mins
