How we organise our day

We usually start school at about 9:30ish. I start at this time as I find it difficult to get going in the morning as i have FM and ME.

Anyway enough about me, here is what we do:

• Circle time          

                             - Light the candle
                              -Daily Dua
                             - Silence Game
                             - Grace & Courtesy work
                             - Story & Character/Adhab Study

• Work period - Free choice of work trays available
• Break
• Work period - Free Choice of work trays
• Tidy up time whilst listening to Quran

We typically do 2 - 3 hours a day

During the work periods Nuh does have free choice but I also guide him and encourage to do particular works. For instance I want him to do a language or maths work every day pretty much. So I sometimes spell words on the table with the movable alphabet, so that when he comes in he immediately sees it and wants to look at it. This usually results in some language work.
Or I will get down a maths tray and do it myself. Other than this I let him choose completely want he wants from the sensorial, practical life, botany, history and geography trays.
