Recording, Planning and related stuff

Before School commenced I decided to make a teachers planner, i had always used one of these in my teaching career adn found them immensley useful. So I thought I would make one myself so that it had the exact information and format that I wanted. At this point I was thinking that rather let Nuh have free choice of the materials I would give him trays from the various subject areas in a particular order, so I set my planner up to reflect this.
Firstly I made a double page daily planner, all of the sheets are available to download below. I also included a sheet for other subjects or curricular activities that I might use or do, such as art, field trips, books we are reading or plan to use.
Other sections included a calendar, scope and sequence, and attendance sheet.

Anyhoo, after about a fortnight I realised that the daily plan wasnt working for me as I was no longer giving nuh particular works in a particular order,as this did not work for him. As i was now using the prepared envirnoment as the teaching tool (or our version of it) I needed a way to record what activities he had chosen to work with that day, which ones he had mastered and which ones he needed to practice more.  So I designed this recording sheet:

I also made a progression checklist based on Karen Tylers albums.

These are all in the following spreadsheet:

Basically I use this to record exactly what we have done and where we are up to, I then refer to my scheme of work docs (see  page). The columns headed P, PR, M  mean P = Presented , PR=practiced and M = Mastered
